slab hitting

This is the day of the construction ceremony (・∇・)ノ
It is also called ridge-raising or tatemae,
Here in Okinawa, we call it slab-beating.

The construction ceremony is held when the basics of the building are completed.
In Okinawa, where there are many concrete houses,
The ceremony is often held after the concrete has been poured.

This is the familiar Hi-ja-jiru (goat soup) (・∇・)ノ
And depending on the region, it seems that such a dish will also come out.

This is tofu, isn't it?

There are various ways of celebrating celebrations depending on the region.
I learned for the first time that tofu is served in a slab...
Okinawa seems like a small island,
