Tankan

It is sudden···

Speaking of delicious winter fruits, here!
I received a mandarin orange as a gift (^ ^)
Okinawa's standard winter mandarin oranges are a type called tankan.
It may be a little hard to tell from the photo ;)
Actually, the skin is very thick,
Some of them have uneven surfaces and scratches,
It's a pretty wild mandarin orange.

But it's a little hard to imagine from the outside,
The fruit is less sour and sweeter than that!
Thanks to that gap, I'm quite popular in Okinawa (laughs)

It's a winter mandarin orange, so I see it in supermarkets just this season.
Unfortunately, it seems that this year's tankan is quite poor due to last year's typhoon.
No wonder it's hard to see (>_<)
