Kuroki is
It is a tree used for the Okinawa Sanshin (・∇・)ノ
March 3th is "Sanshin" day!
With that,
Today I would like to talk about Sanshin (^^)

The Okinawan sanshin is made of a wood called Kuroki.
To grow up to be able to make a good sanshin,
It is said to take nearly 100 years.

Currently, Kuroki from Okinawa Prefecture is
Since there are very few
In Yomitan Village, where the legend of the red parakeet, the ancestor of the sanshin, remains,
A lot of black trees are planted now (^^)

100 years later, with a sanshin made of Kurogi from the prefecture
Imagining Okinawan music being played,
It's very romantic (*^^*)

Opportunities to listen to Okinawan folk songs even when you come to Okinawa
For those who find it difficult to make
There is a recommended spot!

It will be on the east coast side of Nago City,
There is an area called Futami,
named after this place
There is an Okinawan folk song called "Futami Jowa".

And there is Melody Road (^∇^)♪

When I'm driving
I can hear the rhythm and song of the sanshin,
right and left tires
The melody road that plays a different sound
It seems that it is rare nationwide!

Also, when you pass through Melody Road,
Because you can see such a beautiful sea,
It is also a recommended spot for driving (* ^^ *)

  1. Humming Shisa

    Hello! !

The sanshin and folk songs are a staple of Okinawa, and especially when it comes to the sanshin made from Okinawan black wood, it takes a long time to grow and maintain good quality materials.

I can't play the sanshin, but if I could get my hands on a purely Okinawan sanshin, I would be satisfied with just that and be proud of it (*^。^*)

And just imagining hearing different melodies on the left and right tires makes me feel like I'm holding the steering wheel o(^▽^)o

  2. Miki Koiso

Hello, my name is Miki Koiso.
Sanshin is good, isn't it!!The alcohol content of the awamori that Shisa on the CD jacket of the Shimauta CD I often listen to is drinking is 34 degrees (sanshin)!!It may be an image, but the sound of the shamisen is harsh, but the sound of the sanshin is a little lonely, but is it a sound that cheers you up?
I am playing the ukulele, but since I changed jobs, I have not been able to go to class on Sundays, so I have not been able to improve. When I went to Okinawa, I always listened to sanshin live performances.

    Hello Humming Shisa,
Kuroki has been a familiar plant for a long time, but there is an image that the trunk is very thin.
I can imagine that it will take a considerable amount of time to be able to make a sanshin from that trunk.
As part of the Kuruchi no Mori 100-Year Project, Mr. Kazufumi Miyazawa of THE BOOM is taking the lead in growing black trees.
The sanshin, which is made from carefully selected high-quality materials, seems to play a wonderful tone (^^)

    Melody Road was great!
Actually, I was able to pass by by chance, but everyone in the car became quiet and listened intently to the sudden melody (^^)♪

    Hi,
The shamisen and the sanshin are similar in shape, but the music they play is certainly different!
Each song has a different face, such as the sound of the sanshin during a slightly melancholy love song, or the sound of when everyone stands up and dances wildly, and it feels like they are expressing our feelings (^^)

I also like music, but I'm having a hard time mastering an instrument.
    Ukulele can be fun too!
I think I can enjoy music more if I can play an instrument, so that's nice (*^^*)
