April 4rd is “Shisa Day”

Shisa means "lion" in the Okinawan dialect, and is a statue known as a talisman and guardian deity of Okinawa.
It is characterized by its large mouth, googly eyes, and the fangs that grow inside its mouth.

At Gallery Café Yukura on Kokusai Street, there are many impressive "Shisa" made by master craftsmen and Okinawan pottery "Yachimun" on display.
The drink menu allows you to choose your favorite cup, and there are cups with Shisa designs on them that are so cute☕️

Why not take a break at a cafe where you can enjoy Okinawan culture?
